Slightly less bad

Today I did another 350 problems at CTS.
Maybe GK is right and I have to warm up a little.
My rating increased from 1470 to 1490.
Except for 2 or 3 all problems looked simple.

Update.
1500
There is something different.
I don't have to think.
Just to look.

Down the drain

Today I did 350 problems at CTS.
My rating at CTS is 1470 now (was 1530 in januari)
That is the same rating as I had in the summer of 2005.
First conclusion that comes to mind is that the 40,000 problems I did at CTS are down the drain.

Interesting.

I'm back

I even played 2 OTB games already!
Although life continues to be somewhat distracting, a lot of work lies behind me.
I'm no longer the treasurer of our club (yippee!).
I started a blog in dutch about our choir because we need more members.
That's taking a lot of time from chessblogging.

I intend not to play any tournaments this summer and use this time to focus on endgames instead.
It's really necessary to take that hurdle.
Further I'm somewhat rusty, so I will start with CTS again (if I can find my password).
Some work around the house needs attention too.

Another Knight joins the table

Please all give a warm welcome to our newest Knight Old Fart.
He decided that 55 is a good moment to start with serious chess.
He is right of course.
Let his enemies smell defeat!

3 problems down, 1 to go

The performances of our choir are now behind us.
With very much succes!
The transfer of my task as treasurer of our chessclub is almost completed (pfewww)
I have sorted my Dutch-English dictionary so "fluted cap" ("neepjesmuts") comes after "no" ("neen") again. (did I allready mention it was from 1959:)
So I hope to start with chess again by the end of next week.
Even while not playing any games I gained 1 ratingpoint. They hadn't processed all rating data.
After correction my rating increased from 1749 to 1750 (huzzah!)
I wish they did that 400 times a year:)
