    Wow a crazy tactical game. I wonder why he didn't try for a perpetual with his queen? I haven't had the guts to play that (is it the Portugese variation?) yet...

    this is the Portuegese variation indeed. When I allowed his queen to a8 I was pretty sure there wasn't a perpetual check. Of course he tried to play for it, but he couldn't find it either. Nor could Rybka.
